You can adjust these in Settings → Controls → Baserunning Interface:

• Buttons (Recommended for Casual/Beginners): Each base has its own button. This gives clear “send runner” feedback and minimizes accidental moves.
• Analog (Recommended for Competitive/Pro): Use the left stick to point at runners, then choose the target base. Faster in complex plays, but mistakes can happen if you’re not careful.
• Fixed Analog (Legacy Feel): For players who dislike the camera-shifting behavior in the new Directional Analog, Fixed Analog restores the classic, steady camera during Road to the Show (RTTS).

In Road to the Show, the Directional Analog interface can shift the camera unexpectedly. If you feel disoriented during baserunning, switch the Player Lock Baserunning Interface to Fixed Analog for a stable view.

Pro Tip: The “Safety Lead”

To reduce the risk of being picked off:
Hold the Left Stick toward the base while taking your lead. This ensures your lead-off isn’t too large, allowing a quick return if the pitcher attempts a pickoff.
